Compassion is the bridge between human and

Humane.  Education

Is the way to merge them.

My name is Bruce; I’m an animal massage/touch therapist, the owner and operator of Companion Animal Touch & Therapies.  I am not a veterinarian: I do not diagnose medical issues, offer medical advice, prescribe drugs, or perform surgery.

Working with Augie
I have been working with dogs, cats, and other companion animals in the Chicago-Milwaukee area since 1998 and providing instruction to practitioners since 2003.  The founder of AMTIL (Animal Massage & Therapies), I offered massage and bodywork for companion animals and practitioner instruction under that name from May of 1998 until June of 2006, when I adopted the name Companion Animal Touch & Therapies for instruction and client services, and dedicated AMTIL to the sale of holistic animal health products.

As a massage/touch therapist, I integrate massage with energetic modalities including acupressure, reiki, and Healing Touch to provide individualized therapeutic bodywork for dogs, cats, and other companion animals.  I have been privileged to work with several thousand animals and a wide range of issues, including rehabilitation, maintenance, and hospice situations.  The animals I work with receive gentle, compassionate care based on the knowledge gained through this experience as well as courses taken (and in the case of massage, taught) in these modalities, flower essences, aromatherapy, homotoxicology, and animal communication.

My role is that of facilitator, assisting your animal(s) to attain or maintain a naturally healthy state and/or adapt to physical limitations, changes, or injuries; I also  provide hospice care.  The specific results of the massage/bodywork session(s) will be different for each animal: beneficial effects of massage and bodywork include increases in trust and bonding; increased circulation of blood and lymph, resulting in improved cellular and  muscular efficiency; pain relief through endorphin release; stress reduction and emotional calming; enhanced recovery from injury, illness, or surgery; injury prevention; performance enhancement; relaxation; and improved flexibility, body awareness, and general health and well-being.

I will gladly provide references should you desire them; you can find comments from some of my client’s owner/caretakers and former students on the Testimonials page

I teach massage classes designed for owner/caretakers, prospective practitioners, and others.  Animal massage is similar to human massage, but they are not identical.  Not a human massage therapist myself, I have found that it is sometimes easier for people to learn to work with animals without that background than it is for practicing massage therapists to adapt their techniques.  Information on the classes I teach, a schedule of upcoming classes and a registration form can be found by clicking these links.

In addition to offering massage/touch therapy and massage instruction, I provide consultation relative to flower essences, homotoxicology, and other therapies; sell holistic animal health products in association with AMTIL Inc.; and provide references to animal communicators and other practitioners.

Questions, comments and suggestions are always welcome. For more information about holistic health products and other issues related to the well-being of animals, I invite you to visit www.AMTIL.com.

On behalf of the animals, thank you for your interest and attention,

W. Bruce Bregenzer
