I see clients by appointment, making housecalls within a rough one-hour circle centered around Beach Park, IL. My service area reaches from Chicago’s loop and north side to Milwaukee; it encompasses all or most of several counties including Lake, Cook, and McHenry, in IL and Kenosha, Racine, and Milwaukee in WI, as well as parts of other counties in both states. Calls outside this area are generally referred to other practitioners; appointments can sometimes be arranged, but will include a mileage charge in addition to the normal consultation fee. Since animals can’t (or won’t admit to being able to) tell time and don’t understand “I’m sorry, but your time is up”, I charge by the session rather than by the clock. Sessions average 45 - 60 minutes; they can be longer or shorter depending on the needs and reactions of the animal.

My charge for a session with one animal is currently $50. Additional animals? Sessions for two - $75; three - $90; four - $100. (If you have more than four animals that need massages, you have your hands full: no charge for the fifth!)
The number and frequency of sessions required to allow the animal to resolve or reach accommodation with his or her issues will depend on a variety of factors, including the age, personality, and general health of the animal; the nature, type, and severity of the issue(s); the employment and timing of other treatments and/or therapies; responsiveness of the issue(s); the expectations of the owner/caretaker; and the reaction(s) of the animal to massage and bodywork.

I work primarily with rehabilitation from physical injuries and surgeries; recovery from abuse, neglect, or abandonment; geriatric and chronic-issue maintenance; and hospice situations, but also have experience with sports massage and other applications.
Practitioners working within or from Illinois are required to provide a Statement of Disclosure to and obtain a signed Consent and Authorization from an animal’s “owner or agent of the owner” prior to performing services. This can be done at the initial consultation; you can also use the link below to view and download mine now.
